| After Mount Rainier, I set my goals on Mt. Whitney. I wanted to climb a mountain at my pace, not one dictated by RMI. So in January 2003, I sent in my application to the Mt. Whitney lottery. I was lucky and got my first choice which was to spend two nights on the mountain in August. So in August, I set off to climb the highest mountain in the lower 48 states. My friends Andrew and Kristina joined me in this adventure. |
